Hi, My baby is 7 days old and I have excruciating pain while breastfeeding. What can I do? Baby also cries at the breast and we have to top up with formula. Please help.

Hi dear,
Nipple pain while latching the baby is due to shallow latch. Try bringing the chin to breast and aim the nipple towards the upper lip/nose, wait for the baby to open a wide mouth and bring the baby close to the breasts. The cheeks also touch the breast, that close. If doesn’t help, please book a consult.
